These terms apply to your use of this website and to requests made through it. By using the site or submitting a request, you agree to them. "Casa Lucas", "we" and "us" refer to Casa Lucas, a private automotive acquisition company based in Manitoba, Canada.
Our service
Casa Lucas finds cars on request. We don't hold inventory. When you submit a request, we look for the car you've described through specialist dealers, auctions, collectors and private owners, including owners whose cars are not advertised for sale. If we find it, we tell you what we know about it, introduce you to the seller and help you through the purchase, including inspection, paperwork, transport and import.
Casa Lucas acts as a finder and coordinator for you. We don't own the cars we find or sell them ourselves: you buy each car directly from its seller.
Submitting a request is free and doesn't commit you to buying anything. It also doesn't oblige us to accept the request or guarantee that we will find the car.
Fees and payment
Our finder's fee is a percentage of the purchase price of the car you buy, starting from 2%. The exact percentage and what it covers are agreed with you in writing before we start a search. The fee is due when your purchase of the car completes. If you don't buy a car we've found, no finder's fee is due. The price of the car is set by its seller and paid by you to the seller under your agreement with them. Taxes, duties, transport and inspection costs are paid by you, and we'll tell you about them before you commit.
Inspection
We tell you everything we learn about a car before you decide, but we don't provide mechanical inspections. Before you commit to a purchase, we strongly recommend an independent pre-purchase inspection by a qualified specialist and a check of the car's history and documents.
Information on this website
Car names, model years and descriptions on this website, including in our car search and the example briefs on the Wanted List, are provided for reference to help you describe what you're looking for. Example briefs are illustrations, not active client searches. They may not be complete, current or accurate, and they are not an offer to sell any particular car. Photographs on this website are illustrative stock images (Unsplash); the vehicles shown are not for sale by Casa Lucas and are not client vehicles.
Trademarks
Car brand names, model names and logos referred to on this website — including Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Bugatti, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Mercedes-AMG — are trademarks of their respective owners. Casa Lucas is an independent business and is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by any car manufacturer or brand. Brand names are used only to identify the cars our clients ask us to find.
Using this website
Please don't misuse the site — for example, by submitting false or misleading requests, attempting to access areas you're not authorised to use, or interfering with how the site works. Information you send must be accurate and yours to share.
Liability
This website is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or for any loss caused by information on the site being incomplete or out of date. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

How we handle the information you send us is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Manitoba, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings there.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
